HOT VariYoga Sundays 1:00pm to 2:15pm and Thursdays 5:30pm to 6:45pm

Learn and practice VariYoga Flow Sequences in a heated room. Be prepared to sweat! Bring a towel and your own mat. Mat rental for Hot Yoga is $2.00. This class will be taught by various members of the AYC family of teachers, and you are assured a good experience with VariYoga! Heated sessions are held in the upstairs studio at this time. This is not a special series and you may use your regular class cards, but registration is requested. ATTENDANCE IS LIMITED. Prenatal Yoga – Thursday nights 6:00pm-7:00pm

This class helps prepare the mother’s body and breath to open for childbirth. Yogic techniques of breath, movement, and more provide a basis for smooth passage through this powerful  life experience. All yoga practices are modified for safety throughout your pregnancy.

Yoga Level 1-2

This class is suitable for new students as well as students who have been practicing yoga for a while. Classes often contain a few optional challenging postures. This level is also suitable for students who are pregnant. Purchase Class Passes

Yoga Level 1-3

Combination class. Open to beginning students, but may contain more challenging poses and sequences. Options are given to those not yet ready for the more intense poses and sequences. Purchase Class Passes

Yoga Level 1-3 Deep Stretch

A quiet session to compliment your regular dynamic yoga practice. A small number of poses are held comfortably for approximately 3 to 5 minutes each. As muscles relax, this practice targets connective tissues and joints, specifically in the spine, hips, and legs. Each pose is designed to facilitate a deep, inner stillness and full stretch. VariYoga can help prevent deteriorations of connective tissue and increase our range of motion.  Purchase Class Passes

Stress Relief  Yoga

After a hard day at work, at school, teaching or too much domestic engineering, treat yourself to a gentle VariYoga flows to help relieve stress and tightness in your mind and body. All levels welcome. No prior yoga experience needed.

Yoga Level 2-3

Combination class. Consists of strengthening poses for the whole body. Blend of VariYoga flowing sequences with attention to alignment and moving with music.  Purchase Class Passes

Power Flow

This is the highest level class we offer. Previous yoga experience is recommended. Build heat, stamina, and flexibility through challenging yoga flows. The pace is vigorous, so be prepared to sweat! Purchase Class Passes

Gentle Yoga

Less vigorous class designed for those with muscle/joint pain, stiffness, weakness, or fatigue, or recovering from injury or surgery. Includes gentle stretches, breathing and simple movements. This class is also suitable for students who are pregnant. Purchase Class Passes

Kundalini Yoga Level 2-3

A physical, mental and spiritual discipline for developing strength, awareness, character, and consciousness. Many students call Kundalini yoga the yoga of awareness because it focuses primarily on practices that expand sensory awareness and intuition in order to raise individual consciousness.  Considered an advanced form of yoga and meditation, its purpose is to cultivate the creative spiritual potential of a human.  Purchase Class Passes

T’ai Chi Yang Style – Saturdays 10:30 am – 11:30 am

Yang style is probably the most popular style worldwide, and is usually found to be graceful and quite beautiful. Go to T’ai Chi for Life for  more information.

T’ai Chi Sun Style – Wednesdays 7:30pm to 8:30pm

Sun Style.  Many consider this the gentlest style, which makes it immediately accessible to the beginners, the elderly and those who have difficulty moving. At AYC, we teach a shortened 12-move version of Sun Style, developed by Dr. Paul Lam as “T’ai Chi for Arthritis”, as well as the Sun 73, also known as the Sun Long Form. This is a class for the newcomer to T’ai Chi, as well as those who have a basic understanding of the Sun form. Go to T’ai Chi for Life for  more information.

Buddhist Meditation and Spiritual Support Group – Thursdays 7:30pm to 8:30pm

Open to the public at no charge. Doors will be locked by 7:40pm to ensure silence and security for participants. Current facilitators include Josh Newman and John Meadors. Meetings generally consist of two 20 minute Buddhist meditations with instruction for beginners, and open discussions designed to support spiritual development.
