VariYoga is a dynamic practice that recognizes ‘one size does not fit all’ and can be modified to meet the needs of the individual. The breath is used to link poses and sequences which range from gentle to vigorous, depending on individual ability. In addition, VariYoga includes an awareness of alignment, breathing techniques, and a philosophical understanding of Hatha Yoga. Watch a VariYoga Introduction Video Here.
The VariYoga approach includes a therapeutic understanding and intelligently weaves together the various aspects of yoga. A clear presentation of optimal body alignment is incorporated to assure safety in the poses and create harmony in the body and mind.
VariYoga is the collaborative effort of Andrea Fournet and Bryan Fowler, who meld eclectic backgrounds and have more than twenty-five years combined teaching experience. Influenced by the Traditions of Iyengar, Yoga Therapy and Viniyoga, together they created this non-dogmatic teaching approach, dedicated to respecting and helping all people discover the benefits of Hatha Yoga. VariYoga is a Trauma Informed Yoga.
